On a spring day marked by falling cherry blossoms, a robot arrives at the home of Osamu Hanami, a 25-year-old painter residing in a coastal town. The AI humanoid, named Hal, has no prior connection to Osamu, and little is known between them at first. Despite their unfamiliarity, they share an interest in painting, which becomes the foundation of their interaction. Together, they begin a life centered around creating art.
