A Tokyo police officer is tasked with protecting Prince Noora during his visit to Japan. The prince is dedicated to his official responsibilities but spends his free time flirting with young men and provoking his security team, often behaving in ways that raise concerns for his bodyguard. A separate story follows a writer who takes in his cousin's young, difficult son after the boy's mother dies. Their incompatible temperaments lead to conflict, and the child leaves, only to return a decade later with the goal of retrieving money left behind by his mother. A brief follow-up is provided for characters from another story titled *All of Heaven and Hell*.
