A Square Enix employee named Shogo Sasaki hopes to create a Final Fantasy game with his sister, Yuko. Following a truck accident, they find themselves transported to the Final Fantasy universe. Adjusting to their new reality, they meet others, form a group, and take on the role of adventurers. As threats emerge, Shogo learns that his deep familiarity with the games has limits.
