First Penguin Requiem

Creatures called Kaii hide in the depths where no one can see them, and the task of facing them falls to a group known as Leaders, who are pushed forward like first penguins into unknown water. Kino and Azu are two young Leaders who have no memory of where they came from, yet they keep accepting assignments in which death is always close. Together they chase the Kaii while holding onto the hope of one day being released from the role fate handed them.
