An empire called Ouka controls a third of the world and organizes a battle competition every eight years to avoid conflicts with other nations. Each country sends five competitors known as "Patriots" to fight, with winners receiving recognition and prestige. Kurou aims to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming the top Patriot, and he trains alongside his team to achieve this goal.
