Harutaro begins school a month late after recovering from a severe illness, trying to stay positive. His classmates make an effort to include him, particularly his friendly, overweight companion, Shota. In contrast, Kai Majima, the strict Manga Club president, appears determined to make Harutaro’s return to school as difficult as possible.
