Aida Minami admired Manabe Keiichi, a long-distance runner in the club supervised by her mother, a school teacher. Her admiration turned to disappointment when Manabe revealed his love for her mother and vowed to care for both women. Years later, Minami discovers that Manabe has become a teacher at her high school and is now in charge of the track and field club she is part of.
