In a future where the Fractale System controls global operations, a young man named Clain lives without direction alongside his parents, who are artificial "Doppels." He encounters a girl named Phryne, who is being chased by an unknown individual. After Clain saves her and assists in concealing her from her pursuers, he becomes entangled in her predicament. His life changes significantly following this meeting.
