A high school student participates in a jazz dance audition and impresses the judge with her physical strength and stamina. She advances to the next round before going on a road trip with her boyfriend, during which they are in a car accident. She recovers fully and quickly from the injuries, surprising those around her. This leads her to think more about the concept of genetic modification, a term her father had previously mentioned in a phone call.
