Fuku no Kami

A young aspiring comic artist and his companion find out that the artist's submission to an SF magazine issue was not accepted. After their landlord warns them of eviction if rent isn't paid, the two pack their things and leave their apartment. They wander the streets, discussing the possibility that their situation is part of an SF narrative. The one-shot was first published in the May 1966 issue of Garo and later reprinted in a special Tsurita Kuniko issue of the same magazine in December 1970.
