A boy without parents named Murang dreams of becoming a dragon rider, but faces prejudice and mistreatment due to his status as an orphan. He is often bullied for his interactions with village dragons and seeks any opportunity to prove himself. When he discovers a lone dragon egg, he sees a possible chance to improve his circumstances.
