Chiharu Asukagawa serves as the student body president at Ushitora High, while Kyou Kisaragi holds the same position at its rival school, Bishin Academy. Their roles naturally position them as rivals, though they share a private relationship as a couple. They spend time together at hotels and otherwise behave like a typical pair. A related story appears in "Soko wa Nemuri no Mori," story 02: "The Star Knows Everything." The manga also includes the one-shot "Valentine Cinema," published in Bessatsu Shoujo Comic in February 1995, and the one-shot "Joou-sama no Okiniiri," published in March 1996.
