A junior high school student named Osamu Hiratake experiences a rejection after confessing to a girl at school. Seeking advice on becoming more popular, he visits his philosophical senior at their shared boarding house and attempts to gain insight over a bowl of ramen. While there, he notices a strikingly beautiful girl moving into the house next door and instantly becomes infatuated. Upon closer inspection, he discovers that five identical girls have moved in together.
