A decade ago, giant skyborne creatures known as Idola destroyed Washington D.C., revealing the existence of other life forms to humanity. After years of research, a defense was developed using humanoid robots modeled after Idola, controlled by pilots through brain waves. Ilya Kravitz, a young boy confined to a wheelchair and living with his sister Anna in New York City, is preparing to take the pilot exam. He hopes to become a pilot despite his physical condition. The story explores whether he can achieve his goal and how he will confront the Idola.
