Clarice comes from a once-noble family now in financial ruin. To save her ailing younger sister, she enters an arranged marriage with the Dark Knight, a warrior clad in enchanted armor who attends even the wedding in full gear. Expecting to quickly secure funds for her sister’s treatment by charming her new husband, Clarice is blocked from the bedroom. She soon discovers the reason—her spouse is actually a woman. Female knights are prohibited, and the Dark Knight is socially awkward, making household life difficult. Servants are frightened by the constant presence of magical armor and monster battles. Clarice realizes her practical marriage will bring more complications than expected.
