Gaksital

A mysterious figure known as Gaksital, wearing a Korean bridal mask, fights injustice and delivers justice. Two Korean brothers, Lee Kang-To and Lee Kang-San, have opposing paths. Lee Kang-To is a Japanese police officer in Korea who is loyal to Japan and appears to betray his heritage. His brother, a Korean patriot, becomes mentally unstable after being brutally beaten by Japanese police. To care for his brother and others he cares about, Kang-To seeks power and money. He aims to gain recognition from the Japanese by capturing Gaksital. The two represent opposing views on justice—Kang-To believes the strong should dominate the weak, while Gaksital advocates for equality. Their conflict leads to a tense pursuit. As truths emerge, family bonds break, the Korean people rise in rebellion, and many lives are lost. Lee Kang-To transforms from a loyal Japanese officer to a tragic Korean hero. The story explores themes of love-hate, right and wrong, patriotism, betrayal, and redemption.
