A flower called Viscar is causing human and animal hosts to become mindless, feeding on others after infection through bites or inhaled pollen. Humanity faces a global pandemic with little hope remaining. Volt, a former soldier, was tasked with protecting Dr. Kisling, a scientist working on a vaccine. When an accident releases Viscar pollen, Dr. Kisling becomes infected and asks Volt to locate his daughter, Lilith, to continue the vaccine research. Together, Volt and Lilith travel through a ruined world in search of a way to save humanity.
