Naruto Uzumaki is tasked with capturing Mukade, a missing-nin, leading him to the ruins of Ouran. There, he confronts Mukade, who seeks a dormant leyline hidden within the site. Mukade activates the leyline, causing a powerful light that engulfs Naruto and transports him to the past, 20 years prior to the start of the series. Upon waking, Naruto encounters Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage.
