Kai Houjou is the child of a human woman and a demon king, born from a violent act. Taken at birth, he was raised in captivity in the demon realm, enduring abuse and torment, particularly from his older half-brother, a demon prince. After escaping, Kai returns to the human world, where only a year has passed since his birth. He enrolls in his mother’s high school to be close to her, as she struggles to rebuild her life in the wake of her trauma. Demons pursue Kai, forcing him to fight or negotiate to protect himself and his mother while uncovering the reason for the threat he poses. The narrative includes depictions and references to rape, incest, torture, and murder. Though not overtly explicit in art, the story implies significant horror and disturbing themes.
