Golden Time

A new student at a Tokyo law school, Tada Banri, becomes disoriented after the opening ceremony and meets another lost freshman, Yanagisawa Mitsuo. They connect quickly and manage to reach their orientation on time. There, a strikingly attractive and well-dressed woman appears, holding a bouquet of roses. She slaps Mitsuo with the flowers before giving them to him and saying, "Freshman, congratulations," then departs. The woman is Kouko Kaga, Mitsuo’s childhood friend, who had once shared a promise of marriage with him. Mitsuo had secretly taken the entrance exam for the prestigious law school in an attempt to avoid her. Unexpectedly, Kouko also passed the entrance exam and now appears at the same orientation, reuniting with him.
