A girl who collapsed while fleeing meets a woman who lives in seclusion. They are referred to as the "runaway girl" and the "recluse," and they begin traveling together, visiting abandoned places and ruined landscapes. The recluse identifies herself as Azami, while the runaway girl calls herself Mizuki. The narrative follows their journey away from their pasts.
