In 1924, within an imagined European nation, a Japanese student studying abroad encounters a highly intelligent girl who rarely leaves the library except to rest. She is frequently called upon by her brother, a detective, to assist in solving complex cases, leading her away from her usual routine. These stories, filled with subtle romantic undertones, form a collection of supplementary tales that occur around the events of the main series.
