A high school girl seeks the opportunity to express her emotions to a classmate, while a gunman attributes his survival to fortune. Other narratives include a drifting car and individuals in Africa enduring a drought, all yearning for a heavy rain. Each of these three tales was entered into the 5th Torch Manga Award. The winning entry and the Runner-Up Prize explore fundamental aspects of storytelling.
