Claudia De Porto is a princess celebrating her 19th birthday when Prince Kim proposes and the castle is attacked by the Demon King, causing a fire. Her brother Juverin is injured, and the kingdom's treasure is stolen. Claudia is drawn into the plan of the spirit Desire and must become a hero to save her brother and kingdom. She must travel with Demian Alphen, her ex-fiancé, across the forbidden sea of death to reclaim what was lost from the Demon King. The story follows Claudia's journey as she transitions from a sheltered princess to a hero on a mission to restore her family and homeland.
