Kai and Ren have been classmates and seated next to each other since middle school through their second year of high school. In their final year, they are placed in different classes, and Kai begins to feel increasingly distant from Ren. One afternoon, Kai discovers Ren sleeping in an empty classroom and quietly expresses feelings he has not been able to voice. Ren overhears him. The moment raises the question of whether Kai’s unspoken words will create more distance or help rekindle their connection.
