A 16-year-old tomboy named Hanabi Oozora attends an all-girls high school where she often helps her more timid friends, usually in exchange for food. When the school announces it will merge with an all-boys school, Hanabi becomes interested in Yasuaki Garaku, one of the most popular and handsome members of the Student Council. However, Yasuaki is uninterested in girls. As tensions arise between the two student councils, Hanabi joins the boys' Student Council in an effort to change Yasuaki's opinion of her and other girls.
