Haai! Mari-chan: Ai no Etoile

Mari Saotome is known for being emotional and lives with her father, as her mother is believed to have died. After watching a ballet performance, she becomes interested in the art and begins taking lessons. One day, she overhears a conversation between her father and aunt in which they discuss her aspirations. During the argument, Mari learns that her mother is actually alive, a professional ballerina, and that her absence is due to a divorce. This revelation changes Mari's goals, and she becomes determined to gain recognition so she can locate her mother.
