Hanzou to Juusan-nin no Kunoichi-tachi

Orphaned by war and left without family, Hanzo is rescued by a kunoichi named Yato, who brings him up to follow the ninja path. Though Yato is lovely and endearing in appearance, her temperament is fierce and unforgiving, and she delights in taunting and provoking the boy. Their lively, almost carnival-like days as ninja are eventually upended when disaster falls upon them both, bringing an abrupt end to their cheerful existence.
