Mugi Kurata is a 15-year-old high school student who constantly experiences bad luck. As she begins to lose hope that anything positive will happen to her, she meets Hinata Akabane, a classmate known for his good fortune. Hinata offers to share his luck with her, but Mugi soon realizes that his apparent good fortune may not be natural, hinting at a more ruthless explanation behind it.
