Hataraku! Hyakki Yakou

Shotaro is a top graduate from K University but remains unemployed, relying on his parents' money and spending his days drinking. He lives a parasitic lifestyle while his childhood friends, who all happen to be youkai, have moved on with their lives and maintain a strong sense of self. Shotaro's high self-esteem contrasts with his lack of direction, and his interactions with his more serious, working youkai friends create comedic tension. The story explores the awkward dynamic between a somewhat troubled human and the youkai who take life seriously.
