Heart no Ace

A three-part story begins with a baseball team's ace, Akizuki Akira, who loses to Edajima of the rival team. When a new player, Sakura Misao, joins, Akira quits out of frustration. Misao leaves to find a new team and ends up with the Elephants, setting up a final match. In the second story, Wakamatsu Jirou becomes a local hero after helping catch a criminal, but he must defend his school from delinquents despite having no combat skills. The third story follows a girls' softball team aiming to win a tournament despite competition from a popular idol. They enlist the help of Mizutani Hiroshi, a non-athletic but insightful student, to coach them.
