Hebi Musume to Hakuhatsuma

A manga compiled from three earlier works by Kazuo Umezu, it centers on Sayuri, a girl who grew up in the Megumi-en orphanage. She later learns she is the daughter of a rich family, having been switched with another infant at birth. After being reunited with her true family, she encounters Tamami, the girl originally believed to be her. The story was adapted into a film directed by Noriaki Yuasa, released in the same year as the manga's publication.
