A veterinarian named Yoohee Han is sent to the world of a novel she once read after her early death. She inhabits the role of the side character Alexa and uses her knowledge of the story and animals to become the trainer of Isildus, a wolf shifter and heir to Terrecion. Isildus remains in animal form until his 16th birthday. Yoohee gains a position as a valued advisor in the Terrecion castle, and her influence alters the fates of other characters. The story explores how Isildus, referred to as little Issy, will respond to her once he transforms into a human.
