Hikari no Machi

A town perched atop a hill, known as the city of light due to its sun-encircled setting, conceals a hidden aspect. Tasuku, a young boy, delivers messages for a secretive organization that arranges suicides over the phone. Other youths face their own struggles: Satoshi frequently switches jobs, Momoko was left by her mother, a prostitute, and Hoichi engages in various shady dealings, including with the suicide group. Despite his involvement in crime, Hoichi dreams of accumulating enough wealth to purchase the town and restore it to the rural village of his birth. The story includes two additional chapters.
