Meanwhile, Nao loses her phone and exchanges messages with a boy from the local video store, too shy to reveal her identity. In another story, Niina digs for a glass bead on a bridge to fulfill a love wish, and is discovered by an old classmate who continues to join her each night. Riku secretly admires her self-centered teacher, feeling a rare connection only while caring for his turtle. A family reunion picnic brings together those from broken homes, where growing up and new emotions create tension. Lastly, a girl named Chi waits for a childhood friend who promised to return to her secret hideout, holding onto a key and a memory.
