A classmate named Nohara sits next to the narrator after a seating change. She has beautiful hair but struggles to manage it on her own. The narrator, who regularly helps his sister with her hair, begins assisting Nohara each morning. As he ties her hair, the two grow increasingly familiar with one another and develop a closer relationship. Through this daily routine of untying and retying, their bond deepens.
