An officer at the Royal Pharmacy, Suyoung, provides a pain-numbing potion to the king before his execution on treason charges. As the king is beheaded, he expresses gratitude toward Suyoung and curses the emperor. The following day, Suyoung awakens in an unfamiliar setting and discovers he has taken the emperor’s body. Terrified, he returns to the Royal Pharmacy and finds the emperor inhabiting his original body. From this moment, a dramatic series of events unfolds within the palace.
