Hoshi no Michishirube

Makoto’s fiancé, Kazuomi, and her brother, Yuji, are close friends. After becoming stranded in the mountains during winter, Yuji does not return. Kazuomi grows distant from Makoto and considers ending their engagement. Despite her efforts to reconnect with him, Kazuomi remains emotionally unavailable. When they encounter Kaji, who had also climbed the same mountain, Kazuomi abandons Makoto and returns to the mountain. The work explores the nature of love through a series of short stories.
