A homeschooled girl named Otome lives under the care of her teacher, Minato. Having experienced a troubled past, she begins to question Minato's daily habits and decides to look into them. When she finally confronts him, the truth he reveals becomes a central point of tension. The narrative includes standalone chapters in each volume, with the third volume featuring a supplementary story titled "My First Hoshikawa." Chapter 20 is divided into two parts, labeled A and B.
