Hoshino Doubutsu-en Koimonogatari

A series of romantic tales unfolds among animals at a zoo. In one, a Japanese tit named Tsutsuki is concerned for a new squirrel and tries to support him. Another follows a Rockhopper Penguin named Beat and his caretaker, Mr. Nanada, as Beat struggles to express his emotions due to a language barrier. A story involving Rankan and Leo shows Rankan's bond with Leo, which ends when Leo's son Ollie forms a new attachment to Rankan, stirring feelings of insecurity. Lastly, Kurihara, who has always communicated with animals as if they were human, is unsettled by a new visitor to the zoo who is awkwardly attempting to photograph the animals.
