Narumi Kouta is a high school sophomore who works part-time at a family restaurant to cope with the stress of his new family situation after his mother remarried and brought a stepfather and a skilled step-sister into his life. At the restaurant, he often sits in the same spot each day to pass the time before heading home. He notices another student from his school, Kazemiya Kohaku, who also frequents the same seat. Kohaku is a well-known student at their school and is as beautiful as her famous idol sister, though she keeps others at a distance with her reserved demeanor. Though they recognized each other, they never spoke until one busy day when Kouta was seated at Kohaku’s table and received a phone call from home. Afterward, she asked him, “...Narumi, are you having a hard time at home, too?” Their connection began as a quiet shared routine at the restaurant. Initially, it was nothing more than that. “We’re very much alike. In more ways than one.” As they spent more time together, a mutual attraction began to develop.
