A doctor named Makino works at the infirmary of an elementary school, dealing with a variety of rare and uncommon illnesses among the students. Conditions such as anorexia, narcolepsy, and Bell’s palsy appear among the children, often unnoticed or misunderstood. Makino is outspoken and has a strong personality, yet he engages with these hidden health issues in ways that are not always clear. The series explores how these lesser-known ailments affect the students' everyday lives and how Makino navigates his role in addressing them. The story spans 16 volumes, with a 17th volume containing two special chapters released in 2019 and 2024.
