Natsuki, a high-school girl who prefers spending on manga rather than fashionable clothing, unintentionally harms a mangaka named Kiritani Taichi. To make amends, she agrees to serve as his model while he recovers. Kiritani is a well-known shoujo artist writing under the pen name Ichijou Kiriko, a name Natsuki recognizes as her favorite author. Despite his unkempt appearance, Kiritani is physically attractive. The two develop a relationship as they spend time together.
