Seigi Nakata intervenes when a group of men attack a young man, who turns out to be Richard Ranasinghe de Vulpian, a skilled British jewelry appraiser. Impressed, Seigi hires Richard to evaluate a family heirloom. Their collaboration leads them to discover concealed messages within valuable gemstones and the people connected to them.
