A girl named Lio lost her home and grandmother in a suspicious fire years ago and now relies on her strange ability to create illusions as she seeks the truth behind her past in a world where reality is uncertain. Separately, a young man stumbles upon an enigmatic house in the woods and is forced to become its warden, discovering he cannot leave unless he finds a replacement, a task he must complete from within the house.
