A merchant from the Central Plains named Mok Hwi-Young is killed in an ambush by the Demon Sect. After believing he is dead, he awakens in his childhood, thirty years prior, during his time as a lay disciple at the Wudang Sect. A mysterious bamboo tablet then appears, allowing the exchange and acquisition of martial arts abilities. With this new opportunity, Hwi-Young seeks to determine what he can achieve by returning to his past at the Wudang Sect.
