At Kouzu High, he meets another basketball player who impresses him and joins the team. The first game of the season is an exhibition against Hyamazaki, a top team coached by Hiiragi's father and featuring his older brother. Hiiragi plays in the second half, but struggles with coordination, leading to a loss. A senior player then challenges them to beat him, prompting teamwork and a comeback win.
