In the near future, the Japanese Self-Defense Force shifts control of its air operations to private companies, leading entertainment-focused firms to adopt the concept of "Idol Pilots"—celebrity fighter pilots. The Toreishi sisters, Kanna, Yayoi, Satsuki, Uzuki, and Mina, are teenage idol singers known as The Hummingbirds. They serve as elite fighter pilots in the Japanese military. Balancing their roles, they defend against international threats and perform as idols in civilian life. The narrative explores their journey to becoming both a top idol group and a key military unit.
