Mimi is a recent college graduate working part-time at a convenience store. She once pursued a career as an idol but gave it up after her group didn't achieve success. Ibuki, a new idol, looks up to Mimi and is influenced by her past. Their chance meetings lead Mimi to reconsider her abandoned ambitions. The two decide to try their luck together by entering a competitive idol contest.
