Four years into a punishing office job in the city, salaryman Tadahiro Yasukuni has been ground down to nothing by an employer that treats him badly. A phone call from his mother, telling him to come home to the countryside, gives him the push he needs. He hands in his resignation and settles into an unhurried rural life to put himself back together.
